you did a very good job on the painting, yea. the whole setting might be a bit
plain, but looking at it gives me quite the same feeling as looking at an old
painting at the museum. perfect color choice on the background, it's absolutely
homogeneous with the colors of the scan
one thing i don't really like is the text... the wallpaper title is allright,
but the lyrics don't really fit... if they had been smaller and/or more
transparent and/or even following the perspective, ie. parallel to the border of
the stair above, it would have looked nice... well that's all i have to say...
for now ^^;
i can't think of an appropriate conclusion since i am dead tired

perfectly with the grunge background, i like it very much. haha looking at the
thumbnail really made me think you used a real photo in the wall, because of the
warm color tone you brought on the scan.
gotta love the slightly blurred infatuation text. the other text was good too,
only the words that are hidden behind the scan aren't not really easy to
guess.

and the background with the clouds excels. Really great, congrats. It sure must
have been lots of work ^^;
Two things: check the wallpaper borders... there are some trace fills that's
don't reach until the border, thus you can see the background through those
parts... like, the hand below (okay that part is covered by the task bar but
still :P), and the dark part of the hair of that guy on the right. Nitpickiness
^^ but those little things directly jump to the eye in such a neat wallpaper
And the links in your description are dead, scans deleted?

you're a tough guy but for being a perfectionist asshole, you need to improve
lots yet.
the wall title sucks, that's everything else than 1337, and the quality of the
wall is not that great, it looks very blurred, and the colors look like you took
the pic out of a badly compressed vhs rip. but the blurriness prevails.
This wall is way too messy, try fixing that anyhow.
You definitely need to work more on the extraction, especially on the hair.
Don't use magic wand, that's fast okay but there are too many leftouts... Try
using polygonal lasso, it works perfectly. Zoom at 200-300 per cent, and go on.
If you make a bad stroke, just press DEL once and you can redo it. It sure takes
lots of time but the result surely will be better.
Nice concept on the wall, though it would be better if you created your own
backgrounds.
Hope this critique can help you to improve ^^ Just keep trying

character... in the lower right part of the wall.
The font looks awful... Too plain and too big and disturbing. Make the anime
title visible or don't put it at all.
And lastly, the size. The original scan is 1600x1200, why did you resize the pic
this small? I definitely wouldn't use this on a 1280x960 desktop. It's always
good to make it bigger than your own screen resolution.
I really can't believe how blind people are... Do they fear repercussion when
criticizing good walls? Or do they only see their "Friend's" walls?
For my part, I definitely am disappointed seeing a low quality wall like this in
the oh-so-realistic top fav submissions. Sorry if this all sounds like a flame,
but this really ticks me off. You already notice it in the comments, first come
the "friends", then when you can see this wall in the highlighted
submissions, the critics arrive. Mostly too late, because no damned soul will
ever read this again.
At least try to put some more effort in your next walls, please. I didn't

away. The grain effect is not clean as well but it's so-so.
Main flaw in this wallpaper is the clearly BAD extraction of the scan. What did
you use, Magic Wand? It sure goes faster that way, haha. You had better to
extract the scan like it should, either with polygonal lasso or eraser. It does
take more time, maybe even more time than you needed for your wallpaper, but it
definitely looks better than THAT.
Compared to the original scan, this fails. This definitely doesn't deserve a
place in the top favs, which demonstrates yet again the unfairness of the
